A personal care attendant’s main responsibility is to promote clients’ comfort and safety at home. This includes hygiene care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. They may also accompany clients to and from the toilets to avoid falls and accidents. They can also prepare delicious and nutritious meals and snacks and offer feeding assistance for those who have difficulties using utensils. Personal care assistants may also educate family members on how to properly assist their loved ones while respecting their independence.
