Helping clients improve their overall functions

Those who have stayed long and just been released from the hospital may find it challenging to address their daily living needs or navigate their homes without guidance. In these instances, an occupational therapist can help. They first evaluate the clients for their health and basic skills then create a plan tailored to improve their skills. They also work with family members as the occupational therapist may suggest a few changes or add-ons at home to avoid accidents.
